TOWN OF LEXINGTN-173 BEDFORD ST REHABILITATION

INVITATION FOR BIDS / ADVERTISEMENT

The Town of Lexington, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed sub-bids for the renovations to 173 Bedford Street, Lexington, MA 02421 in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by Johnson Roberts Associates, Inc., 24 Dane Street, Somerville, Massachusetts, before 12:00 PM, local time, February 20, 2025, for Filed Sub-Bids and before 12:00PM., local time, and March 6, 2025, for General Bids.

The 173 Bedford Street Rehabilitation project includes selective demolitions, roofing, new interior partitions, toilet room work, new interior finishes, new hollow metal doors, gypsum drywall partitions, carpet tile, acoustical ceilings, various millwork, cabinetry and trim, folding panel partitions, a new elevator, new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems, data and communications wiring within the work area as well as miscellaneous sitework associated with the installation of utilities.

 The General Contractor shall be DCAMM certified.

There is a plan deposit of $150.00 per set (maximum 2 sets) made payable to the Town of Lexington. Deposits must be in the form of a certified or cashier's check. The deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general contractors and one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise, the deposit shall be the property of the awarding authority.

Bidders requesting documents to be mailed, shall include a separate check, (company, certified, or money order) made out to Andrew T. Johnson Co in the amount of $40.00 for UPS Ground service.

A pre-bid walk-through will be held on February 6, 2025 @ 10:00 AM, local time at the project site, 173 Bedford Street, Lexington, MA 02421. Attendance is voluntary but encouraged.
